Building Survey

This provides a fully comprehensive and detailed evaluation of the buildings construction and condition. The report we provide will detail every aspect of the house and identify any defects, the cause of defects, any urgent repairs and maintenance issues.

A building survey can more than pay for itself. Not only will it give you peace of mind but also advises of any existing or anticipated defects within the premises and advice on the remedies available, together with anticipated cost consequences. This enables you to fully evaluate matters prior to proceeding and finalising the purchase of the property.

On completion of the survey, Brittain Hadley can provide a report to help you budget for anticipated works over a 5-10 year period.


Defects Analysis

If you've got issues with your property such as damp, cracking, water ingress or rotting and you're unsure of the cause, our team are fully experienced at making an inspection and diagnosing the problem. You'll receive a full report with analysis along with our recommendations for resolving the problem area.

If you are a tenant coming to the end of a lease term and have received a terminal schedule of dilapidations from the landlord, we can review this schedule on your behalf. Following that review we would liaise with you to discuss your position and if necessary negotiate a final agreement with the landlord's surveyor on your behalf. Alternatively if you are a landlord with a lease about to expire, we can prepare and serve a terminal schedule of dilapidation to the tenant on your behalf.
