JSR Consultants Ltd are regulated by the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors(RICS) ensuring the highest standards of professionalism are always adhered to. We are also RICS Registered Valuers and hold full PI Insurance with Lloyds of London.

We are based in Formby, Merseyside, Liverpool and carry out surveys and valuations in the North West of England.

Simon Rafferty and James Coyne were founding partners of JSR Consultants. The firm were set-up as an Independent Property Consultancy carrying out Surveys, Valuations, and Construction Project Management contracts across the UK. Prior to this both Simon and James worked in Senior Management for a number of UK Construction companies. Both Simon and James play an active part in supporting local charities and good causes.

The RICS HomeBuyer Report provides buyers with all the basic information they need on condition and value before they commit to purchase. The report is designed for most properties, including flats built since 1850 and includes comment on all visible sections of the property. It gives a simple traffic light condition rating for elements of the building so that you know where any action is required before you buy, in an easy to understand format. Also included is a market valuation that indicates whether the property you are buying is good value for money, plus a reinstatement cost figure for insurance purposes.

We specialise in the management of building projects for our clients. For those wishing to modernise their home, carry out alterations or build an extension you should first discuss your proposals with us. This includes building a new home where a property has been bought with the view to demolish and replace it. We work well with local Architects and equally handle a lot of design work ourselves. We will see the project through the Local Authority Planning process and prepare the technical submission for Building Regulations approval.

Our RICS Registered Valuers are both qualified, and experienced in providing Expert Witness Valuations, and are in a position to give an authoritative opinion and expert report. Our valuations comply with Part 35 Civil Procedure Rules. We have experience working for privately funded clients, and those who are funded by the Legal Services Commission and are happy to take on work on either basis. We have forged good working relationships with many local and national legal practices, and our service offers complete management that takes away some of the workload from the instructing firm.
